Fees*
*Fees are calculated using a guiding rate of $175 per hour.
Standard Fare
Fees for conduct of hearings:
$1400 for one day
$800 per 1/2 day
Fees for written decisions:
$1500 for hearings lasting 1-2 days plus $750 per additional day of hearing; or
$175 per hour, whichever is less.
All reasonable disbursements are billed back to the parties in equal shares.
Mileage is 50 cent per km. Travel outside HRM attracts a 50 dollar per hour charge for travel time.
Fees are exclusive of HST
The Quickie
Where the parties can each:
Submit 30 pages or less of documents; and
Evidence and arguments can be presented over a half day; and
The hearing is conducted over Zoom;
The fee will be $1450 all inclusive with a written decision delivered within 10 business days.
The All-Inclusive
This rate includes all charges including hearings, decision writing and disbursements within HRM
$3200 for one day, $4500 for two days
Cancellation Fees
Standard Quickie
30 days or more: no cancellation fee no cancellation fee
15 -29 days: 20% of all inclusive rate no cancellation fee
3-14 days: 30% of all inclusive rate $500
less than 2 days: 40% of all inclusive rate $800
